So.... how much the anime adapted from the manga up to this point?
Asking because i wonder if they might cover the entire remaining stuff of the manga in this season, or if there are chances for a season 3?

So I never watched the first season of this show, but I just looked it up. looks like first season has 52 episodes in it, and aired 21 years ago. damn took that long for a season two to happen. Man that's a long time. I've seen some shows take a long time just to get s season two, but hell 21 years to get it. That's also a long time for a show to sit in storage too. Surprised author didn't forget about it. In all honesty Tokyo mew mew/tokyo mew mew new, are good shows. Due to season one having so many episodes. I wonder how many episodes season two would have. I can it having 12-24 episodes easy. 24 would be great. seeing as it took 21 long years to get a second season in the first place. I can see a lot of people wanting to enjoy the show for as long as possible. I honestly agree with that. To wait so long for a new season, and only get 12 episodes would be a serious let down.

This S2 is actually sequel to the S1 of the reboot that started in 2022. 20 years after the original air of the old (52 eps) anime.
This reboot follows manga closely.
You can very much compare it to Shaman King if you have watched that.

The original 52 episode series is a closed series with its proper ending and everything.
However, it differs from manga and adds fillers, hence the 52 eps.
Some are the usual annoying fillers but some were actually to deepen the relationships between characters.
Both are worth experiencing, but this new one is the one that is more truthful to the source material.

The older one is for most of us a huge nostalgia trip.
I can speak for many other fans that we started on the English dub of this (so you can find Ichigo as Zoey, Minto as Corina, etc.) and then in the middle of the series switched to proper JP because the series was only dubbed up to the middle point ending.

Ah I see ok. Had no idea. When I searched it only the old version showed up. I haven't even watched the old version yet. Not sure if I will though. I hear it's ok. Lots of episodes 52 total. Man I miss the old anime's. todays amines are disappointing to a degree. So in short this, and the one 3 years ago are remakes of the 2002 show.

Deep Blue people abandoned earth and still says that it belongs to them. The modern humans are probably descendants of the people that stayed behind and strived to survive.
